Surrogacy is an arrangement
between an infertile couple and a lady to deliver a biological child of the prospective couple suffering
from infertility. In India, surrogacy is a legal affair. Rent a womb law was
bought under practice just to curb injustice and promote fair practice of
surrogacy and its procedures in the country. Surrogacy is measured legal
in many nations including India and this procedure is done with the aid of a
renowned agency. Surrogacy after its legalization has done only good activities
for the society, nation and its inhabitants and has not damaged society's rules
& dignity in any way.
In olden days when a lady
could not conceive the male spouse was pressurised to marry again so that he
gets a successor for his name or family. But, now-a-days the perception has
transformed and we see that surrogacy has achieved popularity. Surrogacy
in India is lawful as it is in some other nations. This
procedure is conducted with the help of a recognized agency. Surrogacy in India has
been declared lawful since the 2002. In addition, after the direction of
Supreme Court it was fixed that surrogacy can be taken ahead underneath ART
(the assisted reproductive technology). There are definite set of laws which
are laid out such as single parents who have baby via surrogate mothers; the Surrogate Mother does not have any legal right
over the baby born via surrogacy process.
Egg Donors in India can
be seen in long queue even at the smallest IVF clinics. Egg donation is the
procedure by which a lady provides one or several oocytes, ova (eggs) for the
purpose of assisted reproduction, egg donation occupies the technique of
in-vitro fertilization or in simple words IVF, where the Egg Donor's eggs are
fertilized in the lab. The Donor
Eggs are transmitted to the womb of the woman via
artificial insemination. Ladies, who become surrogate mothers are generally
married, divorced or widow ladies and as an income source they happily consent
to play the character of Surrogate
Mothers.
There
are two methods of surrogacy:-
- Gestational Surrogacy
- Traditional Surrogacy
The
difference between traditional & gestational surrogacy is that in
traditional method baby is biologically linked to the Surrogate Mother
and the prospective father but not with the prospective mother whereas in
gestational method baby is not correlated to surrogate. In India, only
gestational surrogacy is lawful, the ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research)
does not advise traditional surrogacy process. Surrogacy
